The free 15-minute phone consultation is a relaxed conversation — no paperwork, no assessment. Katie will ask about your child's age, the concerns you're noticing, and your goals. She'll share her initial thoughts and let you know whether an evaluation would be helpful. There's absolutely no pressure to commit to services.

Speech by Katie is currently a private pay practice. Upon request, Katie provides a superbill — a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Many families receive partial reimbursement this way. Payment is accepted via check, Zelle, or Venmo.

Progress timelines vary depending on the child's age, the nature of the challenge, session frequency, and how consistently home practice strategies are implemented. Some children show meaningful gains in a few weeks; others with more complex needs benefit from longer-term therapy. Katie sets clear, measurable goals and tracks progress at every session.

Absolutely — Katie strongly encourages parent involvement, especially during in-home sessions. Parents who understand what's being worked on are far better equipped to reinforce skills between sessions. Katie regularly coaches parents on home practice strategies and welcomes questions throughout the therapy process.

In-home therapy is available throughout the greater Tampa Bay area including Tampa, Clearwater, St. Petersburg, Dunedin, Palm Harbor, Safety Harbor, Oldsmar, Tarpon Springs, New Port Richey, Land O' Lakes, and surrounding communities in Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco Counties. Virtual sessions are available throughout all of Florida.

Life with kids is unpredictable — Katie understands that. She asks for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations when possible. She'll share the full cancellation policy details during your consultation.
